Hiring Salary Range
I.T. Support Specialist 
$25.82 (min) - $30.23 (mid) (DOQ)

Type of Position: Full-Time, 40 hrs/week               
Location of position: Denver Water’s Administration Building

The Information and Technology Division within the Asset Management Section at Denver Water is looking for an I.T. Support Specialist to join their team! This position is responsible for managing the hardware lifecycle from procurement to disposal to ensure complete visibility into the Denver Water IT inventory.  This position will follow business practices that join financial, contractual, and inventory functions to support the life cycle management and support the strategic decision making for the IT environment while reducing costs and increasing efficiency and reliability to our customers. The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, have a strong desire and a passion to assist Denver Water to become the “best water utility in the nation”.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: I.T. Support Specialist

  • Maintain asset lifecycle data in Flexera Asset Repository.

  • Create and maintain procedures and processes for hardware.

  • Supply Management.

  • Act as a liaison to ensure compliance with all IT policies and procedures regarding the appropriate use of hardware.

  • Main point of contacts for warranties and extended service contract.

  • Respond to end-user requests for new or replacement hardware.

  • Single point of contact for disposal process including recycle and donation.

  • Create, review and analyze hardware reports.

  • Manage hardware asset audits regularly and identify and resolve discrepancies.

  • Procure and receive all hardware and peripherals following Denver Water policies and procedures.

  • Asset discovery, data capture and storage.

  • Contribute and represent asset management within IT projects.

  • Support Software Asset Analysts.

  • Provide recommendations and quotes for hardware requests.

  • Work with section/division to support desktop migrations, refreshes and related projects.

  • Perform related work as required.

Minimum Qualifications for I.T. Support Specialist

  • Associate’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science or a related field is preferred or 1 year related work experience.

  • Any equivalent combination of certifications, training, education, and experience that provides the required skills, knowledge and abilities.

Licenses, Registration, and Certification:

  • May require HIPAA Training.

  • ITAM certifications preferred.

  • Requires a valid Colorado Driver’s License.
